2024 DATES TO REMEMBER
Grant recommendations
• Submit your grant requests via our Donor Portal or email your grant recommendation forms to meghan@wichitafoundation.org by Friday, December 20.
Stock gifts
• Submit gifts of appreciated stock to the WF Gift Account by Monday, December 23.
Wire transfers of cash
• Wire transfers must be received by Thursday, December 26.
Contribution checks
• Checks must be postmarked on or before Tuesday, December 31.
Tips for year-end giving
- Contribute from your IRA – Take advantage of tax benefits by donating retirement plan assets or life insurance to causes you support. IRAs cannot be distributed to a donor advised fund.
- Give now, decide later – Claim a deduction on contributions to a fund now, and distribute the money later.
- Talk to your advisor – Understand the impact on your taxes and estate by consulting with your advisor.
- Support Wichita’s emerging needs – Explore giving to the Fund for Wichita. The fund increases our ability to act quickly and solve pressing community needs. Contact jessica@wichitafoundation.org to learn more.
- Let WF do the legwork – We’ll help you stay informed of the organizations you support. Need ideas on where to give? View the list of featured funds, such as Field of Interest Funds, that accept online donations. You can also contact james@wichitafoundation.org on local nonprofit needs.
