Meet Jacqueline, our summer intern

June 20, 2025 | Stories

There's phenomenal young talent in Wichita, and on June 2, the Wichita Foundation (WF) welcomed Jacqueline (Jackie) Lara Terrazas as our Data Management & Organization Intern for the summer.

An incoming junior at Wichita North High School, Jackie joined the team through the Greater Wichita YMCA’s Job Prep program – a 12-week course that equips teens with the tools to find and succeed in their first jobs.

Since starting, Jackie has supported WF by assisting with data entry, administrative tasks, and maintaining accurate records in our database. She’s also had the opportunity to tag along at community events and witness the impact of philanthropy firsthand.

At WF, we believe in creating opportunities to build pathways for the next generation of community builders.

“We really enjoy working with Jackie,” said Jessica Hanzlicek Treadwell, associate director of philanthropy at WF. “Her curiosity and enthusiasm are contagious. We're proud to introduce her to the nonprofit world, where she’s gaining experience in both the operational and impact-driven sides of our work. It’s encouraging to see the next generation energized by philanthropy in action.”
