Community radiates energy at Relocation Celebration

June 28, 2023 | Stories

Local leaders and Board members connected in conversation over a cup of Las Adelitas Cafè coffee. Fund holders explored our physical space and engaged with strategic initiative partners, like The Wichita Beacon. Nonprofits and neighbors enjoyed a Final Friday pop-up exhibition in collaboration with Harvester Arts and the Gallery Place Project

These were a few core memories we unlocked with around 150 Wichitans during our Relocation Celebration on May 25 and 26.

"Community is at the center of our work," said WF President and CEO Shelly Prichard. "The enthusiasm from Wichitans and partners is what made this milestone extra special."

The event also shined a light on our latest Nonprofit Elevation initiative. We opened the doors to Elevate - A Community Lab, which promotes collaboration for nonprofits, community groups and businesses. The Lab, footsteps away from our office, is also home to its first tenant - NonprofitGO.

"Our new vibrant space and Elevate are launchpads for what's to come," said Prichard. "We are as energized as ever to build community and spark change."
